Alice and Gabi Gelli are sisters, artists, and Cariocas. The duo's research focuses on the perspective of encounter, exchange, and time. They are deeply interested in corporeal materiality in light of the excessive digitalization of spaces. There is a desire to rescue physical interactions, eye contact, and the impact of art on the body. Ranging from the delicacy of the small to the extravagance of the monumental, the artists are fascinated by repetition, the macro and the micro, as well as the discovery of "new materials." The concepts of waste, garbage, and refuse have increasingly found a place in the sisters' research.

Before becoming the Gelli Sisters, Alice and Gabi developed their artistic identities through individual trajectories. This unique repertoire would later complement each other, forming the essence of their partnership.

In the past five years, they have held individual exhibitions such as "Our Grandmothers Knew," at the Centro Cultural dos Correios (RJ), "When It Stopped Being," at Galeria Lurixs (RJ), "Atlantic Between Us," at Galeria Brisa (Lisbon, in partnership with Daniel Mattar), a solo exhibition and residency at Oasis (RJ), and also participated in international projects such as the group exhibition "Bleu" in Paris, with Bianca Boeckel Gallery, and the Jaguar Parade, an art auction linked to the preservation of the jaguar ecosystem in Latin America.
